According to population data released by the National Institute of Statistics (INE), Castilla y León and Galicia are the autonomous communities that have the most people over the age of one hundred. If we talk in terms of province, Soria, Zamora and Salamanca take the podium. They are followed by Palencia, Ourense, Ávila, Lugo, Burgos, León and Segovia. Thus, eight of the nine provinces of Castilla y León make it onto the list of the most centenary provinces in Spain.
