Mónica López and Bárbara Mestanza, among the theater proposals in Barcelona this week

This week two works are released that might seem opposed but that are the two sides of the coin. At the Teatre Lliure, Carol López presents her adaptation of Les amistats perilloses, by Pierre Choderlos de Laclos, which tells the story of a libertine woman who must vindicate herself in 18th century France.

On the other side, Bàrbara Mestanza presents Sucia at the Akadèmia Theatre, a play where the actress and playwright explains in first person the sexual abuse of which she was the victim in a venue in Madrid.

In Romea, a young woman from the 17th century claims her right to choose her life in La discreta enamora, by Lope de Vega. And in the Condal it is Les Impuixibles, the Peya sisters, who face the taboo of suicide in Harakiri.
