The Festival Arts d'Estiu has presented today the freshest novelties that complement the poster of this edition and that from August 2 to 19 will perform on the beach of Pineda de Mar. Some of the confirmed artists are Ara Mailikian, Rosario, Els Catarres and Suu, which will turn the Maresme coast into a meeting point during summer afternoons and nights.
Among the most anticipated names are Luz Casal and Víctor Manuel, with performances on August 8 and 9, together with the incorporation of Los Secretos (August 18), and the return to the Barcelona coast of Ara Malikian (August 6) and Rosario (August 10), and the double concerts with Els Catarres and Suu (August 7). The twelfth edition will open on August 3 with the best international tribute to the figure of Michael Jackson, This is Michael, and will end with a great closing party by The Tyets and Els Amics de les Arts.
The program is completed with two double concerts by Els Catarres and Suu on August 7, the new show Punto de locos, by Ángel Martín (August 15), and the magic show by Jorge Blass (August 16). Performances already announced include Carlos Rivera (August 2), Ojete de Calor (August 5) and Mecano Music Experience (August 12).
With only eleven editions under its belt, the festival has established itself as an essential event that every summer brings together national and Catalan artists with big names of international repercussion. And it does so in a space such as Pineda de Mar beach where it is complemented by the Village d'Arts d'Estiu to merge music, gastronomy, fashion and culture on the Maresme coast. In addition, the village has its own musical program that will be presented soon and will be open to the general public.
The cycle closed the last edition with a formidable success, translated into 38,000 tickets sold and 90% occupancy, a goal that the festival intends to exceed this year. Tickets for the concerts of the new edition will be available from tomorrow.
