Arrested for stealing €5,000 in supermarket products that he sold at a bar

The Civil Guard has arrested a 48-year-old man accused of stealing products valued at about 5,000 euros from a supermarket in Suances (Cantabria), which he allegedly later sold to the owner of a bar in Torrelavega, who is accused of receiving.

The author of the robbery, committed at dawn on March 18, accessed the supermarket by scaling a wall to a ventilation grill, which allowed him to enter the warehouse and from there inside the establishment, the Civil Guard reported in a statement.

Once inside, through the back door he stole various products, especially alcoholic beverages, preserves and sausages from leading brands and at the highest prices, almost completely emptying two of the supermarket shelves.

The Civil Guard obtained different evidence that pointed to a Torrelavega resident as the alleged perpetrator, who had already been arrested a few weeks before for a moon landing and subsequent robbery at his supermarket in San Felices de Buelna.

The agents continue the investigation to try to find out the destination of the rest of the products stolen in this robbery in Suances.
