Alba Silva is in a delicate moment. On May 28, the Andalusian woman saw her husband, the soccer player Sergio Rico, suffer a serious accident with a horse during the El Rocío pilgrimage, in Huelva, for which he had to be transferred by helicopter to the Virgen del Rocio of Seville.
The goalkeeper was diagnosed with a severe head injury and the medical team that treated him was forced to induce a coma. This meant that, for weeks, the goalkeeper's family lived in complete uncertainty.
Alba Silva did not separate from her husband at any time. After more than 20 days in a coma, Rico began to respond favorably to treatment and gradually improved until he woke up. Days later, she underwent an aneurysm operation whose recovery is ongoing.
In the last few hours, Alba Silva has shared a video on her Instagram stories in which her puppy is seen reacting to the name of Sergio Rico. When the influencer tells the dog to say hello to "his dad", the animal looks at the door, waiting for the goalkeeper to return, who is still in the hospital.
The clip has generated a lot of tenderness among Silva's followers, aware that the young woman is going through a delicate emotional moment. The model has also reappeared this weekend in a tribute to Sergio Rico during a Sevilla match.
"We are waiting to see what the doctors say to see if it could be that we can go home soon," she told reporters when asked about the goalkeeper's state of health.
