One of the most common and frustrating problems for dog owners is managing accidents at home, especially when their beloved four-legged friend decides that any corner is good for peeing. This behavior is usually corrected with time and practice, but some dogs may end up doing minor watering at home if the circumstances arise.
A video posted by Pubity on Instagram has illustrated one of these situations. The clip shows a small but determined handler in action. His challenge to her? None other than Dobby, the family's Golden Retriever, who has decided to turn the couch into her personal bathroom.
The scene begins with the little protagonist, who is no more than four years old but has an attitude worthy of a governess. Visibly outraged, she calls out her dog for a suspicious stain on her couch.
The girl points out the crime, and then goes straight to Dobby to give him his well-deserved lecture. The dog, for his part, remains still, receiving his reprimand with great patience. "That's not done. Tell him," his father encourages from the background. "Wee in the street," he adds, offering a basic dog training lesson. The girl, heeding her father's words, tries to teach Dobby the lesson, although her words are still not entirely clear due to her young age.
What's interesting here is Dobby's reaction. Despite being an adult dog, whose age should have taught her to avoid such accidents, she submits to the little girl's words and gestures without question. He seems to understand the situation and lies down in a clear sign of surrender.
Finally, the situation is softened by a gesture of reconciliation: the girl, once she has finished her scolding and encouraged by her parents, bends down and caresses Dobby, offering him a toy to play with.
