A 4-year wait to book at this 40-euro mid-price restaurant

When we want to go to an exclusive restaurant, we know that we have to face waiting lists or book months in advance. However, we do not imagine this happening in a British pub with an average price of 40 euros per person.

This is the case of The Bank Tavern, an exclusive 19th century pub located in Bristol, which has become one of the most difficult to find a table in the world, with a waiting list of approximately four years.

This business, which only has seven tables, serves a total of 160 dinners a week, with a menu that varies from day to day. The establishment specializes in meat dishes, although little by little they are also incorporating vegetarian options.

The Sunday roasts at this pub have become so popular that for many it is already the most difficult meal to book, beating out internationally renowned restaurants such as La Mesita de Almanza in Argentina, Masalawala

In recent years, The Bank Tavern has received a number of highly prestigious accolades. In 2019 it was awarded the prize for the best place to enjoy a roast beef in all of Great Britain, according to the Observer Food Monthly Awards. In addition, in 2018 he was also distinguished at the Bristol Good Food Awards.

One of the great secrets of the success of this pub is maintaining many processes as they were carried out since its foundation. In this sense, the ingredients are local and the meat they serve comes from farms in very close regions.
