Yulen Pereira reveals why she has moved away from television: "Not everything is money"

The fencer Yulen Pereira is in Buenos Aires to participate in the Fencing World Cup. Before her trip to Argentina, Anabel Pantoja's ex-partner has spoken with Relevo and explained why she accepted the offer to participate in Survivors and why she has decided to stay away from television for an indefinite period of time.

Pereira has admitted that money was a factor in his day to participate in the adventure reality show on Telecinco, the athlete has also confessed that he was a little tired of fencing and that he needed a change in his life. However, despite the fact that he made him gain visibility and money, Pereira has decided to move away from television because it does not make him happy and does not fulfill him and do something that he likes more like fencing.

Yulen Pereira, Anabel Pantoja's ex-boyfriend and an elite fencer, has given an interview to Relevo before leaving for Buenos Aires to participate in the fencing World Cup. In it, she has taken stock of her time on television and has explained why she accepted the offer to participate in Survivors and the reason why she has decided to move away from the sets.

Pereira has assured that he does not regret having participated in the survival 'reality', since he considers it "a very positive step" both in his professional and personal life. The athlete has also thanked television for the opportunity to expose himself a little more and make his sport known. However, he has also made it clear that he would not have participated in the program if he had not received financial compensation.

The athlete has spoken openly about the abysmal difference that exists between the monthly salary of a fencer and the one that someone who participates in a 'reality' can receive, and has ensured that this financial compensation was not the "main reason" for taking the step and travel to Honduras. According to him, he was at a point in his life in which he was a bit burned out with fencing and needed a change.

Pereira has explained that he has decided to get away from television because it doesn't make him happy, it doesn't fill him up and he doesn't think it's him. Although he has given him visibility and an income that is far removed from what he now has as a fencer, it is not what motivates him in life. The athlete has confessed that he feels he owes "a debt" to fencing because he believes that he was called to participate in Survivors for being one of the best in the world in this sport, and now he wants to give visibility thanks to the media attention he receives.
