The worrying reason why Mary of Denmark has maintained such a low profile since her coronation

Mary Donaldson has resumed her schedule of royal engagements after her family holiday for Easter. The current queen consort of Denmark has maintained a rather low profile since the abdication of Queen Margaret II on January 14 in favor of her eldest son, the now King Frederick been Mary's apparent "sadness" and attitude.

2024 was presented as a challenge in itself given the scandal caused by the photographs of Federico X and the Mexican Genoveva Casanova during a getaway of the then crown prince to Spain; But in addition to the media spectacle, the queen has another, more worrying matter on her hands: the safety of her children.

For several months, the queen has been dealing with the delicate issue of the safety of her children, mainly that of her first-born, Christian, who in the future will assume the throne of Denmark. There are all kinds of threats to her person, but they seem to be becoming more and more real.

The proof only has to be seen in the case of Amalia of Holland, heiress of the Netherlands, who was threatened with death by Karim Bouyakhrichan, leader of the Mocro Maffia. A very dangerous criminal who, just a few hours ago, was fleeing Spain due to a lack of judicial coordination even though he had been arrested in Marbella, Málaga, just three months ago.

Queen Mary is concerned for the safety of her children, even more so when this dangerous criminal is missing.

Above all, when just a few weeks ago they suffered a security breach in their own court. According to the Norwegian media Dagbladet, last October, during Prince Christian's 18th birthday, a young man, posing as a journalist, managed to outwit the security team in charge of protecting the heir and enter Christianborg Castle without problems.

According to the aforementioned media, the man - who suffers from mental problems and was already known to the Danish police for various crimes - managed not only to enter the castle, but also to record those attending the heir's birthday party, without any of restriction. The video is already in the hands of the police.

The Danish royal house has not commented on the matter, as the investigation remains open and they do not usually provide explanations regarding the private lives of its members. For now, we will have to see how events unfold.

The serious threats that Amalia received from Holland led her to make the decision to leave her country and move to Madrid to continue her studies at the University of Amsterdam. This was confirmed by her father, King William, on his last state trip of the Kings of Spain to the Netherlands.

"Last year circumstances forced her to live in Madrid. From there she was able to continue her studies at the University of Amsterdam. This was possible thanks to the kind efforts of many of your compatriots and yourself. A moving demonstration of friendship in a difficult time. I would like to thank you and everyone who helped organize this."
