The Supreme Court rejects that Ramón Ignacio García is the brother of the Koplowitzes

The Supreme Court has definitively dismissed the lawsuit by the alleged maternal brother of Esther and Alicia Koplowitz Romero de Juseu. Ramón Ignacio García García claimed part of the inheritance of the daughters of Ernesto Koplowitz Sternberg and Esther Romero de Juseu y Armenteros because he considered himself her son, but said claim was finally rejected by the Civil Chamber in an order dated 27 of September.

García's claim, in which no indicative evidence of the claimed maternity was provided, was dismissed in the first instance, but, when the plaintiff appealed, the Provincial Court of Madrid ordered that it be admitted for processing. It was then that this court ordered that a biological DNA comparison test be carried out, to which the Koplowitz sisters agreed.

The result of these tests, an opinion from the National Institute of Toxicology and Forensic Sciences, concluded that "it can be excluded that Mr. Ramon Ignacio García García shares his maternal line with Mrs. Esther and Mrs. Alicia Koplowitz Romero de Juseu." Therefore, the Provincial Court of Madrid, in a ruling of September 9, 2022, confirmed the court's ruling that had dismissed the claim in the first place, and ordered the costs of the process.

García then decided to go to the Supreme Court and file extraordinary appeals for procedural and cassation infringement, which have been inadmissible by the high court, which has once again ordered the plaintiff to pay costs.

The lawyers of Esther and Alicia Koplowitz assure in a statement that they will proceed to execute the payment of the costs and will study "any additional measure so that it does not happen again that lawsuits that are as painful as they are absolutely unfounded are filed against them, nor that the proceedings are prolonged. subsequent processes, despite the absence of the slightest evidence".

According to García's story, there were details about his family history that did not fit him and after investigating a little, they confessed that he had been placed in a nursery home when he was born. When he came of age he wanted to know more and discovered that his mother would have been Esther Romero de Juseu y Armenteros, the mother of the Koplowitzes, but science has proven that he was wrong.
