The secrecy of Rafa Mateo's family after his stroke: "They don't want anything to be known"

Rafa Mateo, former contestant on the program Who wants to marry my son? and brother of 2015 Survivors winner Christopher Mateo, is admitted to hospital after suffering a stroke at just 29 years old. The news broke mid-afternoon on Thursday and programs such as Sálvame have already echoed it, giving new details about the state of health of the television.

Mateo's own family has been in charge of making the worrying event known through their social networks, where they have more than 370,000 followers. "Rafa Mateo had a stroke and is under observation; thank you very much," they wrote on them. However, little else is still known about how it is today.

Given this lack of information, Sálvame has contacted one of Rafa's friends in search of new details about what happened. "The subject is very hermetic; they do not want anything to be known about the circumstances of how it happened," said the boy, whose identity remains completely anonymous, referring to Mateo's family. "They don't want too much research on the subject so that information that harms them doesn't come out," he continued by saying.

Despite not wanting to give more details about it, Christopher Mateo has also used his social profiles to send encouragement to his brother. "Soon you will be with us again. This will not be able to with you. I love you", he has written on his networks along with a photograph from the hospital.

Save me has continued its investigation into the possible causes of Rafa Mateo's stroke. The program has noted the "tremendous physical change of the young man in just a few years" and points to the "shocking" difference between some television photographs taken in different years.

From the space set, Terelu Campos defends this theory. "It seems to me that it is not a natural physical development," he commented, assuring that the "use of substances to accelerate muscle building" could have been decisive when it came to suffering this cardiovascular accident. "There are organisms that tolerate it more and others that tolerate it less", the presenter concluded.
