During the last of these tests in No Man's Land, the situation got out of control when Laura Matamoros began coughing vigorously after putting a large amount of food in her mouth, which sparked panic among her companions and the immediate intervention of Laura Madrueño.
The incident occurred because the Matamoros team had only 30 seconds to use the remaining food once the winning team finished its feast. In this frenzy, Matamoros, clearly overcome by hunger, tried to put so much food into her mouth that she couldn't avoid choking a little.
Seeing that the contestant was starting to cough, Madrueño tried to mediate so that the situation did not escalate. Thus, he approached the influencer and forcefully instructed her to expel the food from her mouth. Despite clear instructions, Matamoros continued coughing and talking, which increased the risk of worse choking. “I don't choke because I've already let it all out,” said Matamoros.
Although Kiko Matamoros' daughter assured that everything was under control, what was happening on the beach indicated the opposite. “Don't talk because you might choke,” the presenter reiterated that she saw that the contestant was not paying any attention to her.
In the end, frustrated by Matamoros' lack of attention, Madrueño ended up losing her nerve and briefly stepped out of her restrained role: “Nothing, she's on her own.” However, the situation was resolved without major consequences and, in the end, Matamoros recovered perfectly.
