The heartfelt message of Julio Iglesias in the face of the damage caused by Hurricane Otis: "You don't know how I feel"

Julio Iglesias has expressed his sadness for the victims and victims of Hurricane Otis, which left at least 27 dead and extensive material damage when it hit Acapulco (Mexico).

"My dearest Acapulco, you don't know how I feel for you, with how sadness I am following the events, how sad it makes me, that the natural joy of this beautiful city has been lost due to a catastrophe that has torn away its body but never its soul" writes the artist on his Instagram profile.

And he adds: "I am sure that its rebirth will return soon, thanks to the strength of its people. All my love for you Acapulco."

Hurricane Otis has left 27 dead after impacting as a category 5 in Acapulco, one of the main tourist destinations in the Latin American country, for which Julio Iglesias has great appreciation.

The president of Mexico, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, indicated this Friday that his priority is to "get Acapulco back on its feet" as soon as possible: "That is the plan, to help the affected people and at the same time return to the normality in terms of tourism in the beautiful port of Acapulco,” the president declared during his morning press conference.

Likewise, the president has made it clear that his Government has sent some 10,000 members of the Armed Forces, as well as social workers, technicians and personnel from the Federal Electricity Commission (CFE) to respond to the emergency.
