Premeditated murder. That is the conclusion reached by the Thai investigators after the murder and dismemberment of Edwin Arrieta at the hands of the defendant Daniel Sancho. In addition, the police are clear that the cook acted alone at all times: the evidence indicates this, they stressed at all times during the press conference held this Tuesday.
An emotional setback for the family of the confessed author, who is currently taking refuge in Fuerteventura to escape the attention of the media. In fact, the first reaction of Rodolfo Sancho and his wife has been bad. And it is that, in recent days, the lawyer and spokesperson for the family had put on the table the hypothesis that Daniel was helped by an accomplice, something that, as we see, is completely ruled out.
Daniel Sancho is in pretrial detention after confessing to the murder and dismemberment of Edwin Arrieta. However, according to his latest version, the surgeon's death was accidental and his dismemberment was a product of desperation. However, the official investigation confirms that the crime was premeditated, that he acted alone and that he stabbed him in the chest.
For them, the investigators are based on the evidence collected: the images where the defendant is seen buying a knife and a saw, as well as cleaning products to try not to leave a trace, as well as the evidence of a stab wound to the victim. The latter was shown in a photograph.
Therefore, the Thai police accuse Daniel Sancho of premeditated murder and, therefore, ask for the death penalty, as established for these cases in their legislation. After the massive press conference, the reaction of the cook's family was expected. This came from his lawyer and spokesperson Carmen Balfagón.

However, the Thai police shot down this hypothesis in the last few hours. For the investigators there is no doubt: Daniel Sancho perpetrated a murder with premeditation and completely alone.
Despite the fact that the police have filed a request for the death penalty against Daniel Sancho for these events, the spokeswoman was positive. “In Thailand, a foreigner has never been executed. We are going to try so that Daniel Sancho is not an exception, ”she said. And it is that capital punishment has only been carried out so far for citizens of the country.
Finally, the family spokesperson also confirmed that Rodolfo Sancho will travel to Thailand, although she did not clarify when. “At some point Rodolfo will go. But we have to find the moment. He also has to rearm himself psychologically. They are having a really bad time, it is not a situation that we can imagine, ”she added. For the moment, the actor takes refuge with his wife Xenia Tostado and his daughter in their house in Fuerteventura.
