The Colombian singer Shakira is beginning a new stage in Miami, United States, the city where she currently lives with her children after having officially and permanently left Barcelona.
The date chosen for the move was April 2, the day on which the artist, accompanied by her children Milan and Sasha, headed for the American country to start a new life focused on her little ones and her musical career. If it had been up to her, her transfer would have occurred before her, but an agreement had to be reached with custody of the children, just as her father, who was quite weak, had to be cared for.
The interpreter of Monotonía chose the Easter holidays so that her children would have an easier adaptation to the school year of their new center and join after the days off from Easter. Once they arrived in Miami, Shakira shared a statement on her social networks where she asked the journalists for respect, since her children had come from a few very hard months where they had suffered a lot of media pressure and she did not want the paparazzi to persecute them everywhere in this new life experience.
''I beg you to refrain from following them to the exit or entrance of the school, waiting for them at the door of our house, or chasing them to their extra-curricular and recreational activities as has happened every day in Barcelona in order to obtain photographic captures or better ratings'', she explained worriedly on her social networks.
At the moment, Shakira lives with her children in a luxurious house that she bought in 2001 with her ex, Antonio de la Rúa. Despite the fact that she has this property, the Colombian singer is looking for a new home in which to start from scratch.
A few days ago, Milan and Sasha began their new school stage at one of the most exclusive schools in Florida, the Miami Country Day School. Just one course at this center costs 40,000 euros per student, a price within the reach of very few.
Shakira has left Spain, but has taken her closest circle of family and loved ones with her. Her idea is to find a big house where she can live peacefully with her children and her parents, who have already left our country.
Although William Mebarak and Nidia Ripoll are no longer in Barcelona, it is still officially unknown if they are in the United States or if they will join their daughter and grandchildren in the coming days.
