Two days ago the castings for the new edition of Operación Triunfo began, which will be broadcast on the Amazon Prime Video platform at the end of this year 2023. Noemí Galera and her colleagues went to Barcelona, the first city where the test would take place to become in 'triunfito' and follow in the footsteps of great figures of music in our country such as Aitana Ocaña, David Bisbal, Edurne, Soraya Arnelas or Manuel Carrasco.
The first casting stop for the program was a complete success and thousands of people queued for hours under a scorching sun to try to win the sticker and move on to the second phase of the selection process that took place yesterday.
In general, the level of the applicants was very good and the vast majority of viewers who were watching the selection through the YouTube channel praised the good voices that were there, as well as the great attitude of many of those who were present.
Despite the good comments, some complaints came due to the list of songs that the program provided to all those who wanted to do the casting, since it began to be "repetitive" and "tired" that everyone sang the same songs. songs over and over again.
Once phase one was completed on Monday, July 3, phase two was held yesterday the 4th, to which only around 130 applicants passed out of the more than 2,000 who applied the day before. Nervous but eager, the youngsters sang in front of Galera, Manu Guix and Mamen Márquez to show that they deserved to continue in the casting process.
This test was carried out in batches of contestants, that is, a group of about 10-15 people entered, they sang individually and then the jury of experts decided which people continued in the casting. Despite the good level, Noemí Galera surprised one of the batches of applicants by explaining that none of them had managed to make them fall in love and that they were all eliminated from the selection process, something that greatly surprised users on the network.
The director of the OT Academy explained to the group that not everyone could pass the phase, since they only needed 16 people at the end of the road. She also encouraged them by telling them that there are many ways to make it in music and that this program is just a shortcut. Finally, she wished them all the luck in the world.
In just a few months, the first edition of Operación Triunfo will be released, which will not be able to be seen in open air. On this occasion, the Amazon Prime Video platform will be in charge of broadcasting the most famous music program on television with 90-minute galas presented by the singer Chenoa.
Although there are some changes in the mechanics because it will now be broadcast on an online platform, beyond the duration of the main gala there are no substantial changes. The channel will be maintained 24 hours with the classes of the contestants, there will be a favorite and an expelled each week that will be voted for by the application, there will be weekly distribution of topics, etc. One of the great novelties of this year is that there will be a daily magazine in which a panel of commentators will talk about what is happening in the academy.
