The Arrieta family's lawyer denies the latest news about the victim's chest and the blow to the skull: "It is flatly false"

This Tuesday the trial of the Daniel Sancho case resumed and its third week of testimony began. Rodolfo Sancho's son is scheduled to testify this Thursday before the judge and that is why his father spent more than two hours with him in prison to, presumably, finish laying out the strategy.

The objective of the defendant's defense is to ensure that he is not accused of having murdered Edwin Arrieta with premeditation, before dismembering him. However, the victim's defense wants the opposite. And it is this lawyer hired by the Arrieta family who did not hesitate to clarify some information when he left the Koh Samui court just a few hours ago.

Juan Gonzalo Ospina has traveled to Thailand again to appear before the judge this Wednesday as legal representative of the interests of Edwin's family. "What the Arrieta family is trying to do with our statement is to enlighten the court about the loss of a loved one, how the parents have been left, how the sister has been left," he assured the press.

And at that same moment, he has also not avoided talking about the information that emerged about the testimony of a forensic doctor who stated that the wounds on the victim's body could be compatible with a fight, as defended by Daniel Sancho. Without hesitation, the lawyer has presented the version of other specialized doctors who go another way.

"The analysis carried out by the forensic doctors has been very relevant, stating that it was carried out with violence, with some blunt object or with the fist of the hand," he stated, defending his strategy to get the accused convicted with premeditation. .

But that is not all. In the last few hours, the program Vamos a ver exposed a forensic report in which it appeared that the police had found a thorax next to the remains of Edwin Arrieta, despite nothing more being known about him afterwards. Given this, Ospina affirms that it is "absolutely false."

"When the police find the bag where Edwin's skull and hands appear, they announce to their colleagues in the national police that a bag with human remains appears in which the thorax could be. However, there is never a report in which it appears. a thorax," the lawyer explained. "You have to be very respectful with the information. This is not the first misinformation I have heard in this procedure," he added.

Some statements that have infuriated Joaquín Prat, who has made it clear that the information given by the program is "true." "If you want, we will send you the document, Mr. Ospina. It is not a hoax, it is not false information and it is certainly not malicious at all," he stated, defending his reporter.
