"Tell me how it happened" confirms the return of Carlos and Karina for the final chapter of the series

The final season of Cuéntame cómo pasó is already underway. RTVE and Grupo Ganga have started filming La heredad en vida, the first episode of the 23rd season of the successful series, which has been a leader for almost two decades and is the most awarded fiction in the history of television in Spain. And in his farewell no one will be missing. Neither Carlos and Karina, two of his most beloved characters.

After his emotional farewell in the 19th season, Ricardo Gómez returns in the final episode to say goodbye to his character, Carlos Alcántara. Elena Rivera accompanies him in this closing of the season.

In the last season of Cuéntame cómo pasó, there will also be Imanol Arias, Ana Duato, María Galiana, Irene Visedo, Pablo Rivero, Carmen Climent, Paloma Bloyd and Ana Arias, William Miller and Carlos Serrano-Clark, Álvaro Díaz and Asier Valdestilla, as well from the voice of Carlos Hipólito.

The participation of all the protagonists is essential to shoot the final seven chapters, each of them focused on one of the seven characters in the family: Antonio, Mercedes, Herminia, Inés, Toni, Carlos and María.

It will be a season without respite, which will count seven years. As explained by RTVE, the fiction situates the Alcántara at different times between 1994 and 2001, reflecting current political, social and cultural events of those years, such as the 1995 and 1996 elections, the arrival of the Internet and computers in homes Spanish, the explosion of mobile telephony, the birth of the first digital newspapers or the popularity of video consoles.

According to the chain, in the coming weeks, the team will travel to different parts of the Community of Madrid, Guadalajara, Segovia and Toledo to record the final seven episodes. The San Gennaro neighborhood as the main stage, although not the only one. Sagrillas, the fictional town from which the Alcántaras come, will be the second pillar of the season's production. Filming will continue through the summer months and wrap up in September.

With this latest installment of episodes, a narrative cycle that began on La 1 in September 2001 with the chapter The Return of the Fugitive will close, and which has portrayed the changes in Spanish society from 1968 to 2001.
