Sonia Ferrer defends herself after the confrontation with Amor Romeira over transphobia

This past Monday, April 22, viewers of Cuatro's morning show, En boca de todos, were able to witness one of the most intense face-to-face matches in the history of the television space starring Amor Romeira and Sonia Ferrer.

A few months ago, the program's collaborator and the former Big Brother contestant clashed on social networks and on the program due to their different positions on the Trans Law. Now, several months after their brawl, both saw each other again on a television set, where they once again made it clear that their positions were totally opposite.

Before meeting again on the Cuatro program, the Canarian assured that "in her life she had received as much transphobia as the one she lives in 2024." Furthermore, Romeira pointed out the Mediaset collaborator as the main culprit of the hatred she was receiving: ''It was partly Sonia Ferrer's fault, so she knows. "I am no longer a trans woman, I now call myself a wild boar."

After these words, both saw each other this past Monday and, far from bringing positions closer together, they inflamed the controversy even more. ''This debate is not equal. It has been legislated so that I am tied hand and foot and I can be punished for saying that I believe that no one is born in the wrong body (...) I do not feel rejection of transsexual people. I would have liked them to have had the necessary support so that people like you do not need medication for life and mutilate themselves,'' commented Sonia Ferrer.

''Why do you have to say mutilation when it's a reassignment? My love, you have had breast surgery and no one tells you that you have torn a muscle in your breasts. You have to start treating transsexual people with respect... It's a vaginoplasty, don't say mutilation like this is the Iraq war, honey. Learn to respect,'' Amor Romeira replied.

''I had a lot of admiration for you, Sonia. I remember that when I was little I saw you and I felt identified with you, I liked your beauty, I felt that I could be like you... Now, that I am an adult, I don't want to be like you,'' added the former Big Brother contestant.

The confrontation between the collaborator and the Canary Islands did not go unnoticed on social networks, generating all kinds of comments and opinions. For this reason, the presenter brought up the topic again this Tuesday on the Cuatro program, where she wanted to defend herself against the criticism she was receiving. ''I had to denounce it publicly,'' she began by saying.

Moments later, the collaborator explained the reason for the criticism: ''Yesterday the issue of minors arose. It has been concluded that puberty blockers are harmful and irreversible, and minors must be monitored and their psychological situation must be made sure before giving them any treatment (...) Suddenly I say that and I say it What happened to me is...''.

Finally, Ferrer confessed that "not everyone had the opportunity to debate these issues on television," but she assured that "there were many people behind who do not debate and who have the same opinion as her." ''I'm not an exception,'' she noted.
