Sandra Barneda's 'zasca' to José Antonio Avilés live: "It's impossible to concentrate"

This Friday the emotional farewell to María Jiménez took place. The actress, singer and dancer died last Thursday at the age of 73 in her home in Triana, in Seville, and condolences flowed throughout the day. Many of them came from the world of television, which Jiménez frequented for years.

The program Así es la vida, on Telecinco, has given all the details of the events organized to say goodbye to the actress, which have included the corresponding funeral chapel and a horse-drawn carriage tour through her Sevillian neighborhood, fulfilling one of his last wishes.

After broadcasting the piece, however, Sandra Barneda interrupted the story to call the attention of one of her collaborators. "The thing is that José Antonio Avilés is on a set and it is impossible to listen to a video, and it is impossible to concentrate!" were the first words of the presenter of Así es la vida after viewing the burning chapel of María Jiménez.

"Avilés, look at what beautiful images, what a special moment, and he's talking about controversy!" Barneda justified his unexpected intervention. The talk show host, for his part, has muddled through by giving his version of what happened on the set of the Telecinco program.

"It is true that all of Andalusia has recognized María and today they have recognized her, but Andalusia should also have recognized María Jiménez in time and while she was alive, the medal of Andalusia and named her the daughter of Andalusia, and on many occasions María has been the first who has claimed that," explained Avilés.

The collaborator explained that "when a character claims that he wants the medal of Andalusia, it seems very daring", and insists: "María really deserved it and it is not a medal of Andalusia, and what a shame that when it is not there, that is when it is are going to happen, as has happened with other characters who in the end are the history of Spain and Andalusia," José Antonio Avilés has publicly denounced.
