The crime committed by the Urban Police continues to make headlines in the different media. The atrocious murder of Pedro Rodríguez, which took place on May 1, 2017 at the hands of his then partner, Rosa Peral, and her partner, Albert López, has returned to the center of the media focus due to the success that the new Netflix series, The Body on Fire.
To the premiere of the fiction we must add the different interventions that Rosa Peral is having in different media, where she insists on her innocence. Furthermore, the convicted woman's lawyers are trying to reopen the case, three years after the trial was held, where Peral was sentenced to 25 years in prison and López to 20 years.
After the visit of Rosa Peral's father this past Wednesday to the Sonsoles Ónega program, the Antena program has once again addressed the media case, but this time interviewing one of the women who was a cellmate of the condemned urban guard. ''She is a textbook manipulator,'' Andrea began by saying.
Rosa Peral's former partner claimed that the former urban guard loved to watch herself on television. ''She's a narcissist,'' she confessed. In addition, he revealed that Peral was always involved in relationships with men and women during the time he spent with her in prison.
One of the adjectives that the interviewee used most was ''possessive''. And as she recounted, Peral had a rather toxic relationship with a prisoner. ''A girl she was really into was in love with her. In theory they had an open relationship, but it was only for her, because the girl couldn't have an open relationship and she kept chasing her, following her, obsessed with this girl. I have experienced that because this girl worked with me,'' he stated.
The presenter was stunned by this information, since there was no evidence that Rosa Peral had had relationships with women. ''Anyone who knows her there knows that she has relationships with women and continues to have them in Tarragona,'' she said. Furthermore, as it was a mixed prison, Andrea revealed that Peral also had relations with a man.
''You can go to school with men, you can go to the sports center with men, I had relations with a man and with this girl,'' he asserted. ''She believes that she is above others, because she is urban. (...) What he had with her was her obsession, he didn't leave her alone, it was one of the reasons why she ended up in Tarragona,'' he said.
