Richard Gere spends 11 million euros on this house in Madrid

The well-known actor Richard Gere is a fan of our country. A few days ago, the artist from the United States declared in an interview that he was looking forward to moving to Spain with his wife and his children. Although we knew his intentions, what we did not know is that the actor had already acquired a property in the Madrid capital.

As SEMANA magazine has revealed exclusively, Gere and his wife have bought a mansion valued at 11 million euros in one of the most exclusive areas of a large Spanish city.

Alejandra Gere (or Silva) is Spanish and greatly misses the culture, the environment, the gastronomy and the people of the country, which is why they also decided to accelerate the process of purchasing a new home.

According to the aforementioned media outlet, the actor known for his work in films such as Pretty Woman, American Gigolo, Primal Fear or Autumn in New York has chosen the exclusive neighborhood of La Moraleja to live with his family.

The property in question where the happy couple will live is located on a plot of 10,000 square meters. The house has 1,000 squares, which are distributed over three different floors. It should be noted that the house has a wine cellar and a heated pool. The house was built in 1994 and, naturally, there are several areas that have become old. For this reason, the couple has acquired the property and has set to work to give it a modern touch and remodel some of its rooms.

For this property, Gere has paid 11 million euros, a price within the reach of very few. In addition, to this amount we must now add the management costs, all the materials and labor for the renovation, the new furniture, etc.

The couple met in 2015 and both fell madly in love. After some time together, they decided to take a step further and get married in 2018. Currently, the couple lives in New York and have decided to move to Madrid in the hopes of raising their children in a 'more rural' environment or, at least, not as busy as the American city.

At the moment it is unknown when they will move permanently to the Spanish mansion, but everything indicates that the renovation will end in the summer and that they will be here at the beginning of September, a key date for the children to start the new school year without any problems.
