Recycled dresses and millionaire tiaras: the dresses of the great party of Carlos Gustavo of Sweden

The Swedish crown is celebrating. For several days, the country experiences days of festivities and celebrations in honor of the Golden Jubilee of King Carl Gustav. The sovereign celebrated 50 years on the throne this Friday, September 15. During the last few hours, Sweden has been full of activities where members of the Royal Family have been seen. One of the events that stood out the most was the great celebration that took place this Friday, with the organization of a gala dinner at the Royal Palace in Stockholm. There you could see various outfits, among which the most beautiful dresses and tiaras stood out.

As we said in previous lines, the members of the Royal House, both Swedish and from other Nordic countries, have gathered this week to pay tribute to King Carl Gustav's 50 years on the throne. Last Thursday, we were able to see them all at a concert where the outfits also caused a real sensation, as was the case of Princess Estelle when she wore a spectacular recycled dress from her mother, Victoria. Mary from Denmark also demonstrated that gala dresses can be recycled and transformed with other types of accessories.

This Thursday, during the gala dinner at the Royal Palace in Stockholm, Princess Sofia also managed to captivate everyone present with an elegant dress with a cape design, in white and bridal aesthetics, from the Safiyaa brand. In the piece we could see floral decorations in gold metal. To complete her spectacular look, the princess recovered the tiara that she wore at her wedding to Carl Philip of Sweden, on June 13, 2013. On this occasion, she enhanced it with red rhinestones. This tiara can be customized with different stones, so it is possible to make it look different for other occasions.

For her part, Mary from Denmark was another of the royals who was expected to look spectacular. The princess, 51 years old, has recycled a navy blue dress by Danish designer Lasse Spangenberg. According to various sources, it is the same dress that she wore at Princess Benedikte's 75th birthday party, in the spring of 2019. However, she has shown that she knows how to reinvent herself, since this Friday she chose to transform her body and added one of embroidered crystals. The tiara that she wore also stood out, since it was the one she wore during her marriage to Frederick of Denmark in 2004. It is a piece with pearls and can be customized at the top.

Other of the most elegant guests at this historic event, as it could not be otherwise, were the daughters of King Carlos Gustavo, Victoria and Magdalena of Sweden. The first wore an elegant princess-line dress with a gradient finish in blue. For her part, the second opted for a very light gray dress with rhinestone embroidery by British designer Jenny Packham. Both demonstrated good taste in fashion. As for her tiaras, Victoria chose the Fringe, which features 47 diamonds inspired by sunbeams. Magdalena, on her side, wore the Frinde that she inherited from her mother, Queen Silvia.

And if anyone stole the show at the celebration, with the king's permission, it was Queen Silvia of Sweden. The sovereign came on the arm of her husband, King Carlos Gustavo. She wore a jewel of great value, the Braganza tiara. This piece of diamonds set in gold and silver was commissioned by Peter I, who gave it to his second wife, Amalia of Leuchtenberg, on the occasion of her wedding. It is a historical and very important piece for the family, which is why it was one of the tiaras that demanded the most attention. Without a doubt, the gala overflowed with elegance and good taste.
