Rain of criticism of a businessman for his words on television: "What the employee wants to do is work"

laSexta Xplica, the space of La Sexta presented by José Yélamo, seeks to answer the questions present in the public as a whole. In this program, all kinds of issues are raised, from diversity, gender and freedom to other topics such as economics, politics or social rights.

This weekend, one of the guests on the program has sown controversy after an intervention that left most of those present speechless. On this occasion, the topic that was being discussed on the set was job insecurity and the poor conditions with which many workers in the hospitality sector find themselves, something that has caused the 'lack of waiters'.

It has been the businessman David de la Torre who has set social networks on fire with his comments about what 'is really happening in this sector': "What the employee wants to do is work. If you have a boss who treats you well, you have a work team where you are really comfortable, you won't mind working 12, 14, 16 hours if you charge them", he expressed very forcefully to later confirm that he knows it from his own experience: "I have done it".

Many of the collaborators and guests present wanted to make it clear that the reality is that there is great exploitation of thousands of waiters in our country, and that it is something that goes beyond 'good or bad bosses', but that it is a fact that must be be protected and enforced by law.

The businessman's comments have not taken long to spread through social networks such as Twitter, where hundreds of people have wanted to give their opinion and make other users see that having a boss who treats you well is not a privilege, but is normal.

''I tend to be more comfortable with my family, my friends or scratching it on the sofa, after working the hours that correspond to me BY LAW'', ''If you are at work for 16 hours, not even that job is good Not even that boss treats you well. Whether the job is called a waiter or a toilet'' or ''In my house they would tell you, you work with the eggs. No, you don't have to work more than 8 hours. If we see that as normal, it means that something is wrong, very wrong,'' among others.
