A few months ago, it came to light that the streaming platform HBO had 'bought' the program Peking Express. The news caused a great social stir, since fans of the format had been asking for its return for years. Social networks were filled with messages and comments directed towards the company asking about the castings, but the audiovisual giant announced shortly after that, on this occasion, they would have famous people.
A month ago, HBO officially announced that actor Miguel Ángel Muñoz would be in charge of guiding the contestants of the new edition, news that the public celebrated animatedly.
In this edition, seven couples (made up of a public figure and a less known or completely anonymous person from their environment) will fight to win the competition while facing physical challenges, hunger, little budget, etc.
After several months of theories, the platform has revealed the names of the 14 contestants who will take the iconic red backpacks and face one of the most exciting challenges of their lives while discovering incredible cultures and landscapes.
Only some of the contestants have already spoken about their signing for Pekin Express. This is the case of Octavi Pujades, who commented on the Instagram publication, visibly excited by the beginning of the program: ''Let's go there. Joppa, WHAT A PIECE OF RIVALS''.
At the moment it is unknown when the contest will be recorded and when it will be broadcast, but everything indicates that filming will begin over the next few weeks and that the premiere will take place at the end of the last quarter of 2024.
