Paco Collado reveals his romance with Bonnie Tyler: "There was chemistry"

José Mota returns to RTVE with a new program that promises to conquer the summer: The José Mota: Live Show is co-hosted by the comedian and Patricia Conde and features Mota's classic sketches and famous collaborators and guests that, based on games, viewers will be able to get to know in depth.

What nobody expected is that in one of these sections, one of the collaborators, Paco Collado, would reveal the fleeting affair he had with Bonnie Tyler in approximately 1978-1979. As explained by the comedian Paco Collado, she came to Spain to promote a song and her late friend, the journalist Joaquín Luqui, invited him to have dinner with them.

"In the desserts I saw that he was making eyes at me" and he affirms that "there was a crush, there was chemistry there." They got into the taxi together and "there was more", but he stayed at her house and gave her her phone number to call him, and that's how it was. That same night Collado received a call from Bonnie Tyler to meet for another day.

However, the comedian affirms that he did not know English, so "at 9:00 p.m. I started yelling at my friend Jose Mari from the third grade because there was no telephone" so that he could help him understand the singer. "Come down for a minute, I don't know English!"

When his neighbor went down, he couldn't believe that it was really Bonnie Tyler who was on the other side, but it was. Collado has explained that in that conversation Tyler gave him all the details about her meeting and "it all started there."
