Netflix announces the end of 'Sex education'

It was speculated that Sex education could be facing a change of cycle, a regeneration of its cast with the excuse that at some point the students must graduate from high school, but it will not be like that. Netflix has just announced that the fourth season, which will premiere on September 21, will be the last.

“We are incredibly proud of Sex Education and are indebted to our brilliant writers, cast and crew who have put so much heart into the making of each episode. They have worked tirelessly to show you the final series, and we can't wait to share it with you”, Laurie Nunn, the creator, has dedicated to fans of the series through a letter.

Asa Butterfield once again heads the series as Otis Milburn, a teenager scarred by growing up in the home of a sex therapist, his mother, played by Gillian Anderson. Repeating in the cast are Ncuti Gatwa, Aimee-Lou Wood, Emma Mackey, Connor Swindells, Kedar Williams-Stirling, Mimi Keene, George Robinson, Chinenye Ezeudu, Dua Saleh, Alistair Petrie, Samantha Spiro, Jim Howick, Rakhee Thakrar and Daniel Ings.

Among the signings of the last season, Dan Levy, winner of an Emmy for Schitt's Creek, Thaddea Graham (Doctor Who), Lisa McGrillis (Somewhere boy), Marie Reuther (Kamikaze), Jodie Turner Smith (The last ship), in addition to Eshaan Akbar, Felix Mufti, Anthony Lexa, Alexandra James, Reda Elazouar, Iman Yahshua, and Bella Mclean.

Those who will be low are Patricia Allison as Ola, Tanya Reynolds as Lily, Rakhee Thakrar as Professor Miss Sands, and Simone Ashley, who played Olivia and became emancipated to dedicate herself full time to The Bridgertons, also from Netflix, where she plays one of the main characters from the second season.

In the first trailer for the fourth season of Sex Education, you can see how Otis and Eric face the challenge of starting a course at Cavendish Sixth Form after Moordale's closure. What will they find? With a more progressive school than hers: daily yoga, community garden, strong sustainability principles, and folks who are dedicated to being kind. Otis, in fact, will discover that he is not the only therapist in the center. And, among some of the plots, Aimee will try to explore her artistic vein while Adam tries to figure out if conventional education is for him, while Maeve is at a university in the United States.
