Marta Riesco reveals how she experienced her disappearance from television after the controversy of her romance with Antonio David Flores

The journalist Marta Riesco has had a very bad time in recent months. Her sudden dismissal from El Programa de Ana Rosa and her subsequent break with Antonio David Flores changed her life completely and destroyed her, although little by little she has been recovering.

However, Riesco had already suffered the consequences of his relationship with the former civil guard long before. When their love story was made public, the Spanish audience still believed that Flores was happily paired with Olga Moreno, something that left Riesco as a "celebrity hunter" and a "marriage breaker." After several years of silence, the reporter wanted to share with the readers of the Iberoshow medium how she lived those days in which she had to leave the program in which she worked due to anxiety.

With the outbreak of the news, Riesco became the woman of the moment. Hundreds of journalists harassed her day and night, as well as thousands of people criticized her on social networks and made her name the trending topic of the moment. Faced with such a situation, the doctor gave her medical leave because the young woman was suffering a lot. ''Marta we are going to take you to town. The doctor said that you need to rest. (...) We are all very worried,'' her mother told her.

When they arrived in the small municipality just an hour from the capital, her mother took away her mobile, social networks and television. They all did an exercise not to talk about it and tried to calm the waters, something that the young woman accompanied with pills, Netflix, naps and walks.

Save me, Viva la Vida, Socialité, etc., there was no program that was not accusing her of being a "bad professional" when questioning the veracity of her medical leave, something that deeply hurt the journalist.

''At night, when they were sleeping, I would wake up and pick up my mother's husband's phone to call the person I was in love with. He had blocked me and restricted my calls, so I was looking for any other phone to communicate with him. He didn't take it from me '', explained the woman from Madrid while she confirmed that she did not know anything about Flores and that this was '' his worst punishment from him ''.

The arrival of the press in his town caused him great emotional discomfort. She felt judged and misunderstood. In the headlines her name appeared next to the words ''scorned'', ''lover'', ''celebrity hunters'', etc., something she couldn't stand: ''I just wanted to get into bed and not get out of there never again, I suffered a lot for my family. She thought my partner was going to leave me.

''With me all limits were exceeded. In the era of feminism (...) I was marked with the scarlet letter. But this time the shame and public humiliation went to the person accused of "breaking up an idyllic marriage." (...) Despite the fact that I was the free woman, single and with a five-year career in one of the most important programs on the chain,'' the 'enemy' of Rocío Flores explained in the text.

Despite the hard time he was experiencing, Riesco wanted to return to working life as soon as possible. She wanted to work to forget, to reconnect, to distract herself, and to remind herself that she was a strong, empowered, valid woman.

Although it was a very hard moment that he will never forget, in the letter that he has recently published he makes a great reflection on the subject: ''I have had two great passions in my life, reporting and him. And now that I don't have either one, I don't look so bad. And beware, if they had told me a few months ago that this was going to happen to me, I probably would have answered that I would rather die, that's how dramatic I am, or at least I was... Because, you know what? I didn't die and For some strange reason, when I lost everything, I started to feel more alive than ever.''
