Lydia Lozano reveals the money that Ángel Cristo Jr. has earned for her interview on 'On Friday!'

Ángel Cristo García's interview in ¡De friday! gave a lot to talk about. The premiere of the nightly heart program on Telecinco featured the participation of the son of the former circus tamer with whom he shares a name and Bárbara Rey, where he revealed the hard childhood he spent and his mother's connection with King Emeritus Juan Carlos I, later from years of rumors. However, an issue pending resolution in this case was the price that said interview cost.

A figure that Lydia Lozano has revealed in Drama Queen, the new ABC podcast presented by Pilar Vidal. The former collaborator of Sálvame, now a participant in Sálvese Who Can, attended as the first guest of the format to talk at length about her life, as well as some current news that addressed the networks. One of them was the situation between mother and son, in which she attacked Cristo García and revealed how much she had charged for the interview.

“Whoever thought this was a setup: no, not at all. This kid had been thinking about it for a long time, and when I was in Sálvame I could have sat down and said 'Yesterday Ángel Cristo called me and said this, this and this', and maybe I wouldn't have collected the 120,000 bucks that has been paid,” the journalist expressed. Likewise, both she and Vidal theorized about the possibility that her partner had given her poor advice on this occasion.

“It's the typical case of the dog dancing for money,” Lozano said. It was not his only statement regarding the interview, since he repeatedly insisted that he stopped Ángel Cristo so that what ended up happening in ¡On Fridays! would not happen. “He called me telling me that he wanted to do that and I stopped him. I'm talking about hours on the phone... I told him that he couldn't talk because if he sat in front of me, I could destroy his life, since he didn't have a clean bottom," he said.

This last aspect, in relation to Cristo García's criminal record, inflamed the spirits of the talk show host, who attacked Mediaset for its handling of the events: “He has been in jail many times. Why don't the people there investigate and ask him? It was all true for them.” Likewise, she continued to insist on the monetary motive as the main reason for the interview, alleging that she maintained a relatively stable relationship with the family.

“At this moment Ángel has really done it for money, because two or three weeks ago he was with his mother in Marbella, with his daughter, with Sofía,” he noted. Despite the circumstances, the family drama came in handy on Friday! to become the best premiere of 2023 on Telecinco, accumulating 1.2 million viewers and a 14% screen share, thus surpassing the figures of the last editions of Sálvame in June.
