Laura Pausini forced to cancel her visit tonight to 'El Hormiguero'

Pablo Motos is one of the television presenters in Spain with the most complete contact list. During the 17 years that the program has been broadcast on Cuatro and Antena 3, characters of all possible types have passed through its set. From the actor Dave Bautista during the heyday of Pressing Catch to the great friend of space, Will Smith, complemented by a wide range of guests. However, tonight's edition will be missing the first option.

The Italian singer Laura Pausini, who was scheduled to visit the San Sebastián de los Reyes set this Monday, has been ruled out due to a health problem. According to portals such as El Televisero and Bluper, the matter is not serious, but it will prevent the renowned artist from participating this week. Immediately, the program team has found a replacement thanks to the wide repertoire of recurring guests.

Pausini went to El Hormiguero with the intention of presenting his new album, Almas Paralelas. The album has been available since last October 27 in a double edition, in Italian and Spanish. This is the first album that the singer has released since the pandemic, which also serves to commemorate a great milestone in her musical career. And this 2023 marks thirty years since her debut, when she won the San Remo Festival with La solitude.

However, his absence opens the way for another prominent name to exchange curiosities with Pablo Motos. In this case, it is one of the members of the “platinum club” of El Hormiguero, the most recurrent and those to turn to in situations of this style: Josema Yuste. The veteran actor will take the opportunity to present May God Catch Us Confessed, the play that he directs and stars in at the Muñoz Seca Theater in Madrid.

It is not the first time that Pablo Motos needs a substitute guest to make up for an absence, neither this season nor throughout the history of the program. The most recent instance took place a few weeks ago, when Miguel Bosé had to be absent from the set. On that occasion, the interviewee was a regular collaborator of the program such as Carlos Latre, who filled the gap that night before Bosé could intervene days later.

Pablo Motos' space is still relevant after a particular performance starring Pilar Rubio. The presenter and also a regular collaborator performed a finger tutting show that did not convince the audience at home. “You call it finger tutting. We do stupid things with our fingers. Maybe it's not as glamorous, but it's easier to understand,” said an X (Twitter) user.
