Jorge Javier Vázquez reacts to the cancellation of 'Save me' with his mother: "And now what are you going to do?"

Save me will stop broadcasting next June. It was the newspaper El Mundo that released the information this Friday, and in the absence of official confirmation from Mediaset, it seems that the format has a little more than a month of broadcast left. After learning this news, the reactions of those affected are coming to light. First, it was Kiko Hernández and then Kiko Matamoros, two of his most prominent collaborators. Now, taking advantage of Mother's Day, it has been the presenter, Jorge Javier Vázquez, who has questioned what will be of his future after the goodbye of the program he hosts... and he has done it through an ingenious video together with his progenitor.

As El Mundo was advancing, it will be on June 16 when the magazine says goodbye to its audience forever. On June 19, a new stage would begin in the afternoons of the chain, which, according to the same medium, will be led by Ana Rosa Quintana, who will be present both in the mornings and in the afternoons. However, this format would arrive after the summer, and during the summer it would be the new program Así es la vida, by Sandra Barneda, which would fill the void of Sálvame.

This impending cancellation has not gone down well with viewers of the show and all those who have worked on it for over fourteen years. The first to show her state of mind after the news was Kiko Hernández, who assured that this Friday was "a hard day." Kiko Matamoros was not slow to react either. "Thank you for the love of so many good people reviled for seeing us. I am sure that they have been the cause of a lot of happiness and a balm for many wounds. Long live, save me!" She wrote in a post on the networks.

Now Jorge Javier has been the one who has joined the bandwagon. This Sunday, May 7, 2023, one of the most special and emotional days of the year is celebrated: Mother's Day. Taking advantage of this day, in which the presenter has met with her mother, the Catalan has shared a video with her in which both react to the cancellation of the program.

Jorge Javier Vázquez has used the irony that characterizes him to make a reference to the cancellation of Sálvame and his uncertain professional future. "Mom, I'm sorry I ruined your day," he writes in the caption. In the shared video, which lasts ten seconds, her mother begins by saying that "not even on Mother's Day I can be calm. And now what are you going to do?" A question to which he answers with humor: "Maybe back to the theater," he says. "How did it go so well last time...", says the parent.

A few minutes after being published on the official channels of the presenter, the video has spread like wildfire on social networks and there are many followers who have applauded his way of taking things and have transferred their signs of support. "I laugh a lot with your stuff, people don't understand the black humor you have, which is the best for me," expressed a follower. "Thank you Jorge for keeping us company for 14 years, I will miss you," says another Internet user.

As we said in previous lines, Mediaset continues with its changes for the new season, all due to the loss of audience that they have been dragging for a few months. Save me and all its variants, such as Deluxe, will say goodbye to the audience on June 16 forever, after 14 uninterrupted years. A hard setback for its loyal viewers and for all those who have been part of this television universe for so long.
