Next March 1st, You Are Not Alone: The Fight Against La Manada will premiere on Netflix, a documentary film that deconstructs the case that generated the first

Taking as a starting point the attack suffered by a young woman during the San Fermín festivities on July 7, 2016 at the hands of five men who called themselves "La Manada"; People close to the events share their testimonies in an unprecedented way.

Almudena Carracedo and Robert Bahar direct this film -told with the voices of Natalia de Molina and Carolina Yuste-, which they have secretly produced for more than three and a half years.

The two filmmakers, responsible for The Silence of Others - winner of a Goya, two Emmys, a Peabody and shortlisted for the Oscars in 2019 - manage to create a feature film divided into three parts: first, focused on the case of Pamplona, then move on to the assault suffered by a young woman in Pozoblanco (Córdoba) - which four of the five accused in Navarra committed.

Finally, the documentary focuses on the murder of Nagore Laffage (2008) and other cases of violence against women that continue to move society. Everything, until more than a million women took to the streets in 2018, shouting “I do believe you,” the first

A story that aims to make visible the importance of the feminist movement in Spain, the fight of women against machismo in justice, the media and society in general; showing the so-called violent "micromachismos" that many women experience every day, for which society is responsible at an individual and collective level.

It is about telling a story from another perspective, beyond the court rulings: that of the surviving victims. Letters, interviews and court testimonies that tell a story with rigor and, above all, respect. To do this, Carracedo and Bahar have had the advice of experts in gender violence.

Among others, the prosecutor Elena Sarasate or Víctor Sarasa, lawyer for the Pamplona City Council who acted as the popular prosecutor in the trial, will participate in the documentary. Several agents from the Municipal Police and the Foral Police, in charge of the investigation, will also appear; as well as specialists from the Victim Assistance Office.

A great investigation that promises not to leave anyone indifferent, in which the artistic and musical component will also play a fundamental role. The feature film will be available on March 1, only on Netflix.
