First images of Miguel Ángel Muñoz's mother after losing her leg

If Miguel Ángel Muñoz has shown anything throughout his life, it is that he has two great loves that he would not change for anything in the world. One of them is his deceased grandmother, as he called her 'la Tata'. On July 22, 2023, Luisa Cantero Sánchez died at the age of 98, leaving the actor completely devastated.

A union that became evident with his first film as a director, 100 Días con la Tata, with which he won two Medals from the Circle of Cinematographic Writers and a Forqué Award. And expressing the love you feel for someone can break any type of border. And now he has proven it again by being next to his mother, Cristina Blanco, in one of his worst moments.

Last November, Semana magazine published that Cristina was hospitalized in Madrid, where she had been for a month due to an ailment resulting from her illness. And, even though everything was for the better, they had to amputate the lower part of her left leg. "She is stable now (...) She had to have surgery," her close friends revealed.

For this reason, Miguel Ángel Muñoz sought the best care for his mother. Among other things, he found one of the best residences where, even today, they can take care of her. Months later, nothing more was known about the subject until the aforementioned magazine published images of Blanco in the wheelchair after the operation.

Accompanied by friends, the former psychic appears adapting to her new life and walking around the area that has been her home since her health condition worsened. Something that she will have to get used to because, as the magazine has stated, they have not been able to fit a prosthesis so that she can walk again, so she will have to continue in the wheelchair.

And although the life of Miguel Ángel Muñoz's mother has changed in a short time, it seems that she is already managing to find small pleasures in it. Like, for example, meeting, from time to time, with her friends and going out to lunch at a nearby restaurant.

This new daily life that he has to get used to occurs, above all, within the residence, located 90 kilometers from the capital. A place that the actor searched tirelessly to find the best care for his mother and for which he pays 1,500 euros a month.

And in this new home she doesn't stay still. Cristina Blanco, accompanied by the clinic staff, goes to do various activities and workshops that help her get through these hard times better. "She has not left her alone at any time and has attended each and every one of the meetings with her doctors to learn first-hand her data about her evolution," a person close to the actor told Semana. last April.
