Emma Stone's unfortunate incident with her dress while collecting the Oscar

This morning the 96th edition of the Oscar Awards was held at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles, with director Christopher Nolan and his acclaimed film Oppenheimer as the big winner. The film has won seven statuettes: Best film, best direction, best actor (Cillian Murphy), best supporting actor (Robert Downey Jr.), best photography, best editing and best soundtrack.

However, another of the big winners of the night was Poor Things, a film that won 4 Oscars, including the best lead actress award for Emma Stone.

Stone has won his second Oscar thanks to a very difficult role in the latest film by Greek filmmaker Yorgos Lanthimos. Although she was one of the big favorites to take home the trophy, her surprise upon hearing her name was completely genuine.

Excited and overwhelmed by all the feelings she was accumulating at the time of going on stage, the American actress was natural and sincere and the first thing she pointed out was that she broke the zipper of her Louis Vuitton suit. "My dress has torn. I think it happened during the performance of I'm just Ken," she declared openly, unleashing laughter from those present at the Los Angeles theater.

After joking about the mishap she suffered with her dress, the American actress was grateful for the opportunity to have given life to a character as peculiar as Bella Baxter and reflected on what she has discovered thanks to her participation in Lanthimos' film: ' ' (...) It's about a team that came together to make something greater than the sum of its parts (...) And that's the best part of making movies, making them all together. And I feel honored to share this with all the cast members, with all the crew members, with each and every one of the people who have poured their love, their affection and her brilliance into the making of this film.' .

In addition to thanking all the people who have accompanied her in the professional project for which she has won her second Oscar (the first she won in 2017 with La La Land), the actress wanted to dedicate some beautiful words to her family.

''I want to thank my family, my mother, my brother Spencer, my father, my husband, Dave, I love them very much (...) And most importantly, my daughter, who is going to celebrate her birthday three years in three days and it has turned our lives into technicolor. "I love you more than all of heaven, my girl," she declared in front of an excited audience.
