Chenoa's clear response on whether she would delete her affair with David Bisbal

Chenoa is full and happy. She is not surprising, because things could not be better on a personal and professional level. She is about to celebrate her first wedding anniversary with her husband, Miguel Encinas, whom she married in June 2022; the singer is too busy with multiple television and radio projects.

A success that comes after years of hard work, many since leaving the famous Operación Triunfo academy. Since then, no less than 23 years have passed, but most still remember its participants and, of course, Chenoa's romance with David Bisbal. In this regard, the singer of Argentine origin was asked in one of her last public appearances, and she made it very clear where her relationship with the man from Almería was.

Chenoa, clearer than ever, responded to the reporters from Europa Press who asked her about that relationship, emphasizing the "old" nature of the subject: "23 years is a long time," she stated, blunt and looking to the future.

A question that came to mind after her contest partner and friend, Gisela, revealed that she had had an affair with David Bustamante at that time. Something that was an open secret in her day, but that neither of them confirmed at the time. "We have always denied everything, but things did happen," the artist pointed out, acknowledging that the story began as foolishness and ended as a relationship.

"We didn't want to talk about a kiss, we wanted to talk about our career, and that's why we never said it," he said, two decades later. "We were 16 boys, 8 boys and 8 girls, with hormones, all day together, living a unique experience, because the final... the spark arose. They were love affairs," she declared.

The artists were together for no less than four years, and it was the most followed by followers of the musical format. Likewise, their breakup was the most heartfelt, becoming a national debate about whether Bisbal had done the right thing or not, leaving poor Laura - Chenoa's real name - with a totally broken heart.

Difficult to forget are the images of the singer before the television cameras, dressed in a tracksuit and unable to stop crying, confirming to her followers the break with Bisbal. A moment that would become part of pop culture, a bit to the singer's regret.

A week earlier, Bisbal had asked him to take time off from their relationship. However, a few days later, he appeared happy and single at a press conference in Venezuela. This is how Chenoa recounted it in his book, Perfect Defects: "Someone called me on the phone. I am not able to remember who it was. 'Put on the TV,' he told me. There was David, at a press conference in Caracas, delighted with the life, saying that he was not with anyone", says the singer.

"Those words stuck in my chest like bullets, I couldn't breathe. His clothes were in the closet. From the sofa where I sat I could see his things, which were still all over the house. This had to be a bad joke taste, but no: it was the worst day of my life", revealed the artist in one of the chapters of her biography in which she reviews her personal and professional life.
