Brad Pitt will get on to drive a Formula 1. He will do so in a single-seater designed by Mercedes and at the Silverstone circuit, during the weekend of the Great Britain Grand Prix, which will take place on the weekend of 7, 8 and July 9th.
The actor is filming a film that will deal with the life of a retired Formula 1 veteran driver who returns to the tracks to mentor a young racer. The other leading role in the film will be played by actor Damson Idris, while Lewis Hamilton is expected to also participate in a production directed by Apple.
"The car has been designed by Mercedes and is already in the testing phase, as are its actors, in simulation and in real life. Lewis Hamilton communicates daily and advises on the story and the script of the film to ensure that be the most accurate racing movie ever made," said journalist Will Buxton during an F1 Accelerate roundtable hosted by the Wall Street Journal.
According to the specialized media Motorsport, the exclusive car that Brad Pitt will drive will potentially be a Formula 2 or Formula 3 car.
Although too many details of the film are not yet known, it is rumored that Brad Pitt could share the track with the rest of the drivers on the F1 grid during a non-qualifying session. The producers expect the "total collaboration" of the paddock during the filming of the tape.
This would cause us to see one of the most reputable actors in Hollywood flying on the asphalt next to legends like Fernando Alonso or Max Verstappen.
