Ana Obregón does not contribute to the Aless Lequio Foundation what she earned from the exclusives or the book

Serious doubts have arisen about the management of the Aless Lequio Foundation by Ana Obregón, dedicated to cancer research in young people. Thus, the actress and presenter has been accused, according to information from ElEconomista's Informalia portal, of having committed alleged financial irregularities in the foundation named in honor of her late son.

The controversy centers on whether the funds obtained from the sale of the book The Boy of the Shrews and the numerous exclusives about his daughter-granddaughter Ana Sandra, have really been donated to the foundation, as Obregón had promised to promote research into sarcoma. Ewing.

According to the portal, a source with access to the documentation for the 2023 financial year has assured that the biologist has not provided the benefits "from either the exclusives or the book, despite being very well-paid poses and interviews." Furthermore, as indicated in the same information, the book has been a bestseller.

The largest contribution to the foundation comes from a friend of Alessandro Lequio, Aless's father and vice president of the foundation, and amounts to four million euros - the office that serves as its headquarters is included. This donation, along with other smaller donations, has been allocated to the fight against cancer. However, according to these documents, there would be no evidence of any contribution from Obregón.

In her defense, the actress has denied these accusations. In conversation with Laura Fa and Lorena Vázquez, as reproduced this Tuesday in Espejo Público, the biologist has denied that funds have not been contributed to the Aless Lequio Foundation from the book and the exclusives.

Obregón, when the foundation was inaugurated in 2022, highlighted the importance of this cause and, since then, he has expressed on several occasions that his reason for living is to continue his son's legacy through this project. "The only thing that has kept me here is continuing my son's legacy with the foundation and with the book I am finishing," he said before he could finish his son's literary work.
