The Delon family soap opera continues to offer chapters. The newspaper Le Parisien published this Wednesday extracts from the investigation that the French police carried out last summer into alleged mistreatment of the caretaker of actor Alain Delon.
As detailed in the publication, the agents found an 88-year-old Delon in a critical situation, who fell asleep on several occasions during his interrogation, unable to make coherent sentences and who could barely move supported by two crutches.
The gendarmes who came to take a statement from the French actor in July 2023 stated that he was very weakened, and that months later he told one of the doctors who examined him: "I want to die, life is over."
The agents had gone on July 13 to his residence in Douchy, south of Paris, to investigate the accusations of abuse of weakness presented by his children against Hiromi Rollin, the woman who began as his assistant on filming and later took over. More responsibilities.
The three heirs of the actor feared that Rollin, who was the one who spent the most time with him, wanted to take over his will and thus take something from his legacy, so they filed that complaint, which a few weeks ago was dismissed by the courts.
During cross-examination, Delon was very vague in defining his relationship with Rollin, which he said had "ups and downs" and, over time, became "more intimate."
The actor accused the woman of Japanese origin of having pressured him to marry him: "At first we had a personal and professional relationship, then you realize that everything was calculated, sought. It is a classic in human relationships. Realize that I am Alain Delon".
"He didn't get much, he could have had more if he had convinced me that he couldn't be anyone and have nothing without me," says Delon, who insists that she was trying to convince him to marry her, something that also emerges from a letter he sent him in February 2023 in which he wrote: "The best gift you can give me is to have your last name."
The film legend recognizes that there was verbal and physical abuse although he assures that it was mutual: "Yes there was, in response to my physical blows when I got angry," he responds making the gesture of a slap, according to Le Parisien.
Submitted to different medical examinations, the doctors concluded that the actor lacked discernment and, on July 20, a doctor who visited him stated that he had "very weak morals" and that he had shown him his desire to die. The doctor added that Delon was suffering from "a state of physical and mental exhaustion with a significant suicidal risk."
The investigation, which also included the interrogation of other people and the analysis of the actor's and Rollin's phones, determined that there was no evidence of the accusations presented by the heirs against the woman.
The unity shown by the actor's three children, the result of two relationships, during the trial against Rollin exploded a few weeks ago when the two men reproached the daughter for wanting to take her father out of the Douchy residence to take him to Switzerland.
With lawsuits filed between them and a string of accusations crossed in the media, the actor's heirs exposed the family's internal quarrels.
The eldest of them, the actor Anthony Delon, was the first to open fire when accusing his sister of having hidden information from them about the true state of their father's health, an argument that was also supported by the youngest, Alain-Fabien, his father's brother. and mother of the middle child, Anouchka.
