This has been confirmed by hair surgeon José Manuel Gómez, who assured Jaime Cantizano in Mañaneros not only that Spain is at the forefront as a country in this type of medical techniques, but that more and more operations are performed here, including on very well-known people. .

Well-known actors such as Antonio Banderas, who according to the surgeon had suffered androgenetic alopecia and that the transplant that would have been performed was very natural for him.

Another who would have made a radical change is the Cuban actor William Levy, for whom the expert perhaps would have opted for an “exaggerated” result, having reduced the space on his forehead. “He has a very closed forehead, and this must be maintained in the future,” said the specialist, who commented that when the actor turns 60, his hair will remain the same.

An operation normally lasts between six and eight hours at least, since the follicles must be removed one by one so that they can then be analyzed and implanted in the scalp. An intervention that, like any operation, carries its risks and must be monitored medically over the following years.
Two well-known athletes have also passed through the hands of hair specialists. the first, Rafa Nadal, who according to the surgeon would have undergone surgery up to two times and of whom the expert did not think too highly: “he has not had good treatments.”
The specialist also spoke about the hair grafts of two very famous footballers, such as David Beckham or Iker Casillas, who would have undergone the transplant gradually. “The results are evident,” he assured.
All the collaborators had questions for the hair surgeon, since there are more and more cases of well-known people who undergo this type of treatment, men and women. Not only in the hair on the head, but also in other areas of the body, such as eyebrows and beard.
“There are increasingly younger patients, both because of the type of diet and because men also care much more about their appearance,” explains the doctor. Of course, it is worth keeping in mind that only those people with follicles that can be extracted can undergo this type of procedure.
