Pay attention to the following advice from the Civil Guard.

As the Civil Guard points out in its X social network account, there are four colors that designate the levels of difficulty in the presence of snow on the road, which determine what measures and precautions must be taken. First of all, green corresponds to when it starts to snow. In this case, it is prohibited to exceed 100 kilometers per hour on highways and highways, while on other roads the limit is set at 80 km/h. Likewise, trucks must travel in the right lane and mountain passes must be avoided.

At the yellow level, the road is partially covered, and the circulation of trucks is prohibited. Cars and buses must not exceed 60 km/h. In curves and descents, it is advisable to reduce your speed further.

When the road is covered, the red level is activated, with the circulation of all articulated vehicles, trucks and buses prohibited. For passenger cars, circulation is permitted only with winter tires or chains.

Finally, the black level corresponds to the road already closed due to the thickness of the snow, so that circulation is prohibited. There is a risk of becoming immobilized, but if you have no choice but to drive, you must check the good condition of the tires and chains, the battery, the defrosting fluid, the wipers, and keep the tank full.
