Volvo's roadmap is being covered with complete punctuality. The EX90 is part of the new era of the company, a fully electric future that will culminate before 2030. In 2040, the fundamental objective is to become a climate neutral company.

Manufactured in the United States and China, the EX90 is a large family vehicle (5.03m in length, 1.96 in width and .74m in height), versatile and elegant. It features a Scandinavian design with modern proportions and is equipped with the latest technology in terms of software, connectivity and electrification, in order to optimize safety and efficiency.

The Swedish brand claims that it is the safest Volvo in history. It has an invisible security shield made up of state-of-the-art sensors such as cameras, radar and the LiDAR system, which can detect everything in front of the vehicle, day or night, even at high speeds. In addition, these sensors improve the reliability and performance of the Pilot Assist assisted driving function, with a new steering assistant when changing lanes.

Inside, a series of sensors and cameras measure the concentration of the gaze to find out if the driver is distracted, drowsy or inattentive in his role, first warning of the circumstance and even stopping the vehicle safely and asking for help. This Volvo has the necessary hardware for the autonomous driving of the future.

The EX90 has a central system in charge of executing the main functions of the vehicle, from safety and infotainment, to battery management. In addition, it has been designed to improve through wireless software updates.

A 14.5-inch central screen allows you to control an infotainment system with integrated Google, hands-free through the Google Assistant, Google Maps navigation, etc. Digital key technology allows the smartphone to be used as a vehicle key and the personal profile is automatically loaded when accessing the vehicle.

The interior, which can be customized by choosing between seven different environments, is full of natural and ecological materials, a non-negotiable detail to meet the sustainability goals set by the Swedish brand. The habitability is outstanding, with seven seats distributed in three rows of seats, the last one electrically folding. The trunk has a volume of 310 liters with seven seats and 655 liters in its five-seater version.

The Volvo EX90 offers up to 585 km of autonomy and can be charged from 10% to 80% in less than 30 minutes. The most powerful version is equipped with two motors -one per axis- combined with a 111 kWh battery that provide a power of 380 kW (517 hp) and 910 Nm of torque. The approved consumption is 20.7 kW/100 km.

The range is completed with a variant with two drive wheels and a single engine, with a power of 205 kW (279 CV) that can travel up to 580 km and has a combined consumption of 19.9 kW/100 km. The second option is equipped with two engines that add up to 300 kW (408 hp) and are combined with a 111 kW battery to achieve a range of 585 km. In this case, the consumption starts from 20.4 kW/100 km.

The new Scandinavian SUV contains approximately 15% recycled steel, 25% recycled aluminum and 48kg of recycled plastics and bio-based materials, 15% of the plastic used in the vehicle. In addition, it is the first Volvo car equipped with the necessary hardware to offer two-way charging. In other words, it allows the vehicle battery to be used as an additional power source.
