The cars of Sánchez, Feijóo and other presidents: only one has the DGT Zero label

On July 23, general elections are held to elect the next president of the Government. On this decisive day, citizens will have the opportunity to exercise their right to vote and participate in shaping the country's political future. While the political parties intensify their campaigns and present their proposals, it is also interesting to examine more trivial aspects that capture the attention of the public.

One of the curiosities that usually attracts the attention of citizens is knowing what car the candidates drive. The model with which they move daily, alone or with the family, can be a reflection of their public image and lifestyle. Thus, we are going to review, below, the cars that the four main candidates for the presidency of the Government have, that is, Pedro Sánchez (PSOE), Alberto Díaz Feijóo (PP), Yolanda Díaz (Sumar) and Santiago Abascal (Vox) . According to the information collected by Sumauto, only one of them uses an electrified car.

On the other hand, the second-hand vehicle reports provider Carfax and the market research company YouGov have carried out a survey in which citizens were asked which of the four main candidates they would buy a used car from. As Carfax points out, "the result makes clear the lack of confidence that, in general terms, the public shows towards the main candidates to preside over the country."

38% of those who responded to the survey state that they would not buy a used vehicle from any of the candidates. Pedro Sánchez received the confidence of 18% of those surveyed, while Alberto Núñez Feijóo and Yolanda Díaz received the confidence of 15%. Santiago Abascal closes the list, with 11%.

The progressive candidates enjoy greater confidence on the part of women, while the conservative candidates are those who have a better acceptance when it comes to selling a used car to the male electorate.

Thus, 19% of women opted for Pedro Sánchez, compared to 17% of men. In the case of Yolanda Díaz, 16% of the women decided to give their trust to the Sumar candidate, compared to 13% of the male sector. 17% of men decided on Feijóo, compared to 13% of women. As for Santiago Abascal, he is the leader who generates the least confidence among them: only 8% of women voted for him, compared to 13% of men.
