Electric-powered personal mobility has become a growing segment in recent years, with innovative two-, three- and four-wheel vehicles emerging on an almost daily basis. More and more users are opting for micromobility vehicles to get around the city, and with so many options available, manufacturers must create something truly original to attract attention.
Start-up Vook knows what it's like to have to cut a gap with the competition, which is why they have just introduced a modern electric single use trike with fantastic range and an extremely low center of gravity.
Its appearance is reminiscent of children's tricycles, but it is not a toy for children, but a vehicle with advanced technology for adults. Adults, yes, who want to get around in a comfortable and sustainable way, and at the same time want to have fun and recover the sensations of playing again.
The electric trike called Vook (same as the start-up) offers an exciting, efficient, fun, safe and comfortable driving experience. It has many of the advantages of an electric bicycle but with extra comfort and stability thanks to its large front wheel and leather seat located almost at ground level.
It's built from a lightweight and strong aluminum alloy frame and boasts excellent performance thanks to a rear hub dual electric motor system and front and rear hydraulic disc brakes. With four different driving modes, the vehicle weighs 40 kilos and has a total load capacity of up to 120 kilos.
It has a range of up to 175 kilometers, depending on the battery pack chosen from the 30Ah 62V and 50Ah 62V range. Said battery pack is located in the back, where there is a trunk to transport small objects such as a wallet, a bag or a laptop. The battery is removable and can be easily recharged at home. In addition, it can be used as a charger for mobile devices.
Although it was originally designed for trips around the city, it has off-road capability, as its wheels are prepared to withstand both asphalt and dirt roads.
It is available in several colors and has a powerful front LED headlight for night journeys as well as a rear brake light. Its equipment also incorporates a waterproof LCD monitor that offers basic information of the trike such as battery life, speed, distance traveled, GPS location, trip history, etc.
The front and rear cameras are part of the technology that it incorporates and allow users to be aware of their surroundings at all times. Keyless access via the Vook Smart app, fingerprint reader and smartphone integration are other security and connectivity features that come standard.
