A huge out of control truck drives along the sidewalk and destroys everything in its path

Any indisposition of a driver while behind the wheel is a danger to road safety, especially if it leads to loss of consciousness. The same thing was experienced firsthand on February 12 by travelers on a regular Madrid-Bilbao bus, whose driver fainted, leaving the vehicle uncontrolled. After traveling several hundred meters moving from one side of the highway to the other, two passengers barely managed to take control of the bus. Luckily, no serious injuries or deaths were recorded, nor in the event that we are going to explain below.

It is about a horrifying traffic accident involving a huge trailer with a double semi-trailer. As explained by the news channel 9 News, the events took place on February 28, around 10 in the morning, on the busy Hamstead street in Adelaide (Australia). Apparently the trucker vanished at the controls of the large-tonnage vehicle, which circulated uncontrollably for about 200 meters.

The camera of one of the cars that was moving along that road captured the gruesome scene, in which the truck got on the sidewalk and destroyed everything in its path: lampposts, hedges, traffic signs, containers and even a bus stop. Only the crash against the wall of a house managed to stop him.

Despite the great damage it caused in its path, there were no casualties, something surprising considering that it invaded intersections where other vehicles could well be crossing and that it moved at high speed through pedestrian areas.

The driver of the car that recorded the images, Paul Brackley, went to help the trucker, a 31-year-old from New South Wales, who was slumped in the front seat. When he regained consciousness, 9News reports, he told her that he had passed out. "He had blood on his face, but he looked good," said Brackley, who believes it was a miracle no one was killed in the freak accident.

Although there are ailments that cannot be foreseen, there are a series of diseases that are incompatible with driving. As for those that can lead to a loss of consciousness, we find epilepsy. Depending on the severity and frequency of the crises, the patient may drive vehicles, as long as a favorable report from a neurologist is provided.

In addition to this, there are many other pathologies in which it will be essential to present a favorable report from the doctor in order to obtain or extend the driving license. Without said report, no Driver Recognition Center will be able to carry out the procedure.
