Zara brings the platform for the repair and sale of its second-hand clothing to Spain on December 12

Inditex will launch Zara 'Pre-Owned', the brand's second-hand, clothing repair and donation platform, in 14 new European markets, including Spain, on December 12, as announced by the brand.

With this initiative, Zara customers will have access to circularity services such as repair, sales between customers of Zara clothes from their closets and donation, through Zara.com, its mobile application and Zara stores.

Zara 'Pre-Owned', operational in the United Kingdom for a year and in France since last September, is part of the Inditex Group's sustainability commitments for the coming years.

With the launch of this platform in Spain, Germany, Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Finland, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands and Portugal, Inditex is advancing its objective of implementing circularity services in its key markets during 2025.

Specifically, from next December 12, 'Pre-Owned' will be available in the main menu of Zara.com, along with the women's, men's, children's and 'beauty' categories.

Thus, users will have services available such as the repair of used Zara garments of any season, with options ranging from replacing buttons and zippers to repairing seams.

The customer can complete the procedure entirely 'online' or in the Zara store of their choice and the repair is done through local suppliers.

Likewise, Zara 'Pre-Owned' also offers its customers the opportunity to sell their Zara clothes from any collection in a secure environment.

The sales space is organized by product categories with detailed information on each item, including Zara's original information on the garment and current images provided by the seller.

On the other hand, customers can request home collection of used clothing to be donated to non-profit entities, which classify them for reuse whenever possible or recycle them if they have reached the end of their life cycle, supporting the development of projects in local communities. This service accepts products from any brand.

"This new platform is part of the Inditex Group's sustainable development strategy and is one of its priorities in order to move towards an increasingly sustainable value chain," the firm highlighted.
