“We should be more affectionate, we should be less ashamed of living”

In 2022 I started doing live shows, playing video games and commenting on things and, I don't know how, in a few months people started to know me and follow me.

And Brianeitor went viral.

I have more than two million followers on social networks, I have made a wonderful film, CampeoneX, and a documentary, and that while only being able to lift a finger. Incredible.

Five months later you were diagnosed with degenerative muscular atrophy.

Yes, with spina bifida and an 87% dependency, but I have lived like any child, my father has given me the freedom to come and go as I wanted, to play with my friends, to get dirty and to do mischief.

How was it at school?

Happy, people have always loved me, I have good friends. When I was little I played soccer with my wheelchair, I went to the movies, I ran away from home like all children...

A rascal.

I can't complain about childhood or life, really. Everything has been very normal.

What has marked you the most?

Not having a mother. She died when I was 40 days old from a stroke. I always tell my father that if he hadn't passed away I would be a completely different person.

By?

I would not have this character or this attitude, a mother protects her child a lot and above all I have had freedom, and thanks to that freedom I have forged this very positive character.

What things have helped you?

My father is always in a good mood, always funny whether it's right or wrong. Thanks to the education he has given me, to his attitude, I have forged mine, but today I teach him many things, hehe.

What have you taught him?

To be patient. My father is a construction worker, but he can't leave me alone, so he had to stop working. He has suffered more than me, he lost his wife suddenly, then his son is diagnosed with a terrible illness, but he keeps laughing.

Have you been in financial trouble?

Yes, luckily now we can't complain. In 2022 I joined a competitive eSport team, Team Heretics, which is dedicated to competing in video game tournaments.

And do you make money?

There are million-dollar tournaments and competitions with incredible prizes. I am there as a content creator.

What type of content do you create?

Now I do humor, sketches.

How about fame?

Shocking. Imagine yourself famous overnight. Look how I look and people stop me on the street to take a photo with me. I am super happy when they tell me “I love what you do.”

But your life is not easy.

No, and I've had a very bad time. People are surprised to see me physically so bad and with such a jovial attitude, but I have never asked myself why I can't do this or that, I have assumed it and I have not made a problem of it.

What is difficult?

We influence many kids, and with that you have to be careful, be responsible.

And suddenly, a film actor.

When I go super viral, Javier Fesser, the film director, calls me to be the protagonist of CampeoneX. What an illusion! He told me that I gave off an incredible light. Javier is one of my favorite people.

What's up?

The best experience of my life! I learned a lot from the champions, these people with intellectual disabilities are very loving and free, they are not ashamed to say what they think. The world should be like this: more loving, that we are less ashamed to live, that will stay with me forever.

Nominated for best new actor.

It would be incredible, a Goya! A lot of good things are happening to me, like joining Team Heretics; They said they liked my personality, it was my dream since I was little.

I've seen you with yellow, pink hair...

I go to the championships, they are in giant stadiums where thousands of people go to see how we play and people shout my name.

What touches your soul?

What my followers tell me, that seeing what I have and how happy I am, their problems are nothing, that I am an example to follow. I'm super grateful.

Any message for them?

Life is very hard, but, no matter what happens, with a good attitude and a lot of effort we can always achieve what we set out to do.

What has life taught you, Brianeitor?

Material things make your life more comfortable but not happier. The affection of your people is what is important. Everything that doesn't contribute to you, out. Stay with what it gives you, with the people who truly love you, and make the difficult things easy, enjoy the journey. With a good attitude you can go everywhere.
