Next Monday, the Barcelona Court will judge the two twins and the boyfriend of one of them, who are accused of murdering the boyfriend of the other, Pedro Fernández. The alleged crime was committed in July 2021 in the Can Llong neighborhood of Sabadell.
The prosecutor asks for a sentence of 24 years in prison plus five years of supervised release for the three for a crime of premeditated murder, since he considers that the three of them devised a plan to kill the victim.
The prosecutor states that to commit the crime the victim's partner invited him to his house and, when they were in the bedroom, the other couple arrived without him expecting it. Then, the other young man would have attacked them "delivering multiple blows with a metal lever" causing his death.
Afterwards, the three accused would have wrapped the body with a blanket and tried to clean the blood stains from the floor before being surprised by the Mossos d'Esquadra, who came on the tip of other residents of the building.
Already at that time, the accused confessed to having committed the crime with the help of his partner and his sister-in-law, which led him to preventive detention. The two twins were admitted five months later, although in February 2022 they were provisionally released pending trial.
As the police were able to find out, the relationship between the victim and her partner was marked by continuous disagreements, although the definitive proof was found on the phones of the three suspects, where messages appeared about the plot to end the victim's life.
