The National Police have arrested two individuals accused of robbing several pharmacies in the Madrid town of Fuenlabrada after threatening the employees with knives and screwdrivers, seizing the proceeds.

The investigations began a few weeks ago after detecting several robberies with intimidation produced in several pharmacies in the town of Fuenlabrada, "the same perpetrators may be involved," the Madrid Police Headquarters said in a note on Wednesday.

As a result of the first inquiries, it was possible to identify a man, the one in charge of accessing the pharmacies, where "he threatened the workers with knives and screwdrivers, with the aim of stealing the collection from the safe."

The investigation allowed the identification of a second male, who "was waiting on board a vehicle during the robberies, both quickly fleeing," police sources say.

Finally, the arrest of the two men was achieved, who are allegedly accused of four crimes of robbery with violence or intimidation and who have already been brought before the judicial authority.
