Trapero denounces the Catalunya operation in the Barcelona prosecutor's office

The former head of the Mossos d'Esquadra, Josep Lluís Trapero, has filed a complaint with the Barcelona Prosecutor's Office for the maneuvers against the so-called patriotic police, within the framework of the Catalunya operation against the Catalan independence movement.

The extensive complaint includes information published by La Vanguardia and eldiario.es in which it was revealed that Villarejo and other police officers tried to get Judge Joaquín Aguirre, head of court number 1 in Barcelona, to charge him in an investigation into drug trafficking. The objective of the police was to take revenge for the police's actions that had led to the arrest of a senior police official close to Villarejo and his accomplices.

The prosecution is analyzing the complaint to decide what actions to take. This is the second procedure in the Catalan Prosecutor's Office. The first was opened by the same Superior Prosecutor's Office of Catalonia after it was published that the former chief prosecutor Martín Rodríguez Sol had been considered a target to be investigated by the Internal Affairs Unit of the Police during the mandate of Minister Jorge Fernández Díaz during the Government of Mariano Rajoy. .
