TRAM circulation restored after being suspended for an hour due to falling debris

Tram traffic between the Lucentum and El Campello stations, as it passes through the latter municipality, has been restored after it was interrupted for an hour due to falling debris from a nearby building, with no injuries.

As reported by TRAM d'Alcant in account

Emergencies of the Generalitat have indicated that the debris comes from the collapse of an entrance hall of a building in El Campello, where there has been no personal injury.

Four teams of firefighters from the Provincial Consortium have attended the scene, helping with the preventive evacuation of the building's residents. Once the tram line has been reopened, the convoys have started to circulate at half speed.

The Consortium has indicated that the fall occurred at 7:04 a.m. at number 46 Jaume I El Conqueridor Avenue in El Campello, on the beachfront, where a part of the hallway on the third floor fell. to the second, which in turn has rushed to the first floor.

The proximity to the TRAM tracks has forced the passage of convoys to be suspended to avoid tremors that could cause new landslides.

The entire building has been evacuated and firefighters have helped seven people get out of the balconies with the use of the ladder, without any injuries.
